James Pittman
Cpl. James Pittman has been police officer with the Baton Rouge City Police Department in Louisiana since 1998. He has been a member of the Traffic Homicide unit for the past seven years working as an Accident Reconstructionist. Cpl. Pittman has been certified by the Northwestern Traffic Institute and Institute of Police Technology and Management in both Accident Reconstruction and Commercial Motor Vehicle Reconstruction. Cpl. Pittman has been recognized as an expert in both civil and criminal courts for his testimony involving accident investigation, speed calculation, and accident reconstruction.
Cpl. James Pittman has investigated and reconstructed hundreds of collisions for the Baton Rouge Police Department. He also assists surrounding agencies when his expertise is needed. Apart from working for the Baton Rouge Police Department, Cpl. Pittman has also worked in the private sector of accident reconstruction for the past 5 years.
Cpl. Pittman is trained in the theory and operation of Nikon Total Station and assisted with the instruction for the Louisiana State Police in 2003.
Cpl. Pittman is trained in Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) system and is an instructor for the Northwestern Traffic Institute with regards to the CDR system.
