Total Station Download / Measurement System
Import hand or total station measurements into your diagram and have FX3 connect the points for you.
Every Total Station and Data Collector on the market is supported, which makes the transfer of measurement data easy and painless.

Import from File:
The measurement system supports import from all file formats:
csv, txt, ascii, pts, raw, sdr, nik
Download from Data Collectors:
- M-FX
- AutoScene Palm Pilot
- WinCE Device: Mapscenes Evidence Recorder or Pocket Zone
Download from Total Stations:
All Total Stations currently on the market are supported.
When doing a direct download, FX3 will communicate directly with the device to obtain the measurement data. As coordinates are imported into the measurement log from a measuring device, they are automatically plotted on to the scene!
Measurement Log
The Measurement Log allows the user to view and adjust imported measurements as well as insert measurements by hand, add descriptions and connect points with lines either automatically or manually.
Live Editing of Measurement Logs
Download data from any total station directly to a live log running on the side of the interface. That means you can select any point and it will highlight in the log and the corresponding point on the scene. It also means you can edit the point descriptions, re-order the points, set the origin to where ever you like, and change the origin to 0,0,0 instead of 5,000, 5,000, 100 or whatever.
Multiple Measurement Logs
Add as many measurement logs to a diagram. Recreate entire buildings room by room. Take measurements in multiple rooms, and import the data into one scene, to create one complete picture of the crime scene.
Up to 10 Measurement Logs can be added to a diagram. Especially usefull for crime scenes with more than one room. Every measurement file gets its own Measurement Log, with the capability to merge Measurement Logs.
Merging measurement logs
Merge Measurements from large scenes where you had to reposition your total station with a simple wizard. All you need are 2 common points and follow a simple wizard to merge measurement data according. In a few steps FX3 will merge even the largest scenes without any headache. Very Easy!
Connect the points
Measurement Points can be connected with lines, automatically in FX3 as long as you use common description during data import or on the scene, however connecting measurement points by hand using the snap tool is a breeze.
Reports:
FX3 provides full reports of the measurement log complete with all Points (positions and descriptions)
and Title Block (case info).
